They met Johnny Pierce, a record producer who invited to Nashville, where they recorded their debut album, A Piece of Mind. After six months, they went to California, selling the album between performances at various recitals. They were soon found and offered a publishing deal, and shortly after, a record deal, and they began to create an album, Daylight Crossing. Two years later they returned to the UK, where they were discovered by Mercury Records, and they recorded Daylight Crossing.

Was at Edinburgh Castle last night for maybe the most inspiring BIG music concert of my life. The setting was and is glorious and the rain held off till the very end when no one wanted to move–wanted it to go on and on. Leonard had to say with all his genuine warmth as if all ?thousand of us had been his dinner guests. “now get out of the rain, don’t want you to get a summer cold”.
The power of all the years, the grace and humour and civility never flinching from the truth. The musicality of all the artists was balanced and brought together around the penetrating power and warmth of Leonard’s song.
leaving in full on rain, cast of thousands, no pushing or shoving or rudeness–harmony and gratitude.
Thanks Leonard, May you live long and come back soon.
2008-07-18 at 2:08

woo unto those who seek the kingdom of heaven, and who keepeth the laws of the wicked..
Leonard..your age old wisdom is a welcome durring these uncertain times..the delivery of the ‘word’ in person, is sought heavily by many…however, please try and come to the lost masses here in the NE - USA….your golden words are needed by your energy, live in person….every little bit helps….many are lost here…
wisdom of old…not here…just the not the correct way…of understanding…yor gift is needed here…
peace unto you, and one and all…
all shall he held accountable …
blessings

2009-02-25 at 4:26
I’m so glad to see Mr Cohen back on tour. Only he can do these songs justice and having fallen in love with his music in college, I’m just so thankful for his music. Hallelujah of course being my favorite.
Thank you Leonard!
2009-02-27 at 20:30
It has been a dream of mine since the age of 17 to see the genius, Mr. Leonard Cohen, live in concert. There are many fans in Florida. Wishing, hoping, praying to see Leonard Cohen come to Florida!
2009-03-12 at 22:26
Are there more testimonials around the site?

2009-06-01 at 22:57
Last year`s concert here in Oberhausen was wonderful!
For me this one special concert was more than I could ask for, I do not wish a second concert experience. Instead of coming back to Germany so soon, why not visiting other countries and make other fans happy?
I know someone in Mexico who is waiting for Leonard!
2009-06-03 at 6:02
Well Leonard lost his famous rain coat in Denver. We came from Kelowna, B.C. Canada for our 35th wedding anniversary but the concert has been cancelled due to rain and we have to fly home before the rescheduled date on the 4th of June. I am sad, as a fan for over 40 years I thought this was the chance to see him at Red Rocks. Goodbye Leonard Cohen, it’s time to say goodbye and to cry and laugh about it all again. Sorry there is no laughing tonight.
2009-06-28 at 1:32
I flew to the Winnipeg concert from Barbados. The “geographic and financial inconvenience” was more than justified. From my wife I…..Thank You…..it was really an unforgettable experience.
